If you are a lover of adventure and the outdoors this is an area you absolutely must visit and Riverhouse RV resort and campground is the perfect hub to explore from! We are located right in the heart of the Bethel farming community and the park is steps from amazing local farms. Countless miles of hiking and mountain biking trails await just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and just steps from your site is the gorgeous pigeon river where you could spend the day with book, a fly rod, or tubing down to Bearwater Brewery for a few locally crafted cold beers!
VISIT FARMS
Ten Acre Garden is a local gem! They have been farming the land using organic and environmentally friendly methods for the past 60 years. They sell specialty produce to local restaurants, directly from the farm and at the Historic Haywood Farmer's Market! Visit the farm and pick your own produce and maybe get lucky enough to have a delightful dinner on the farm! Bring the whole family on a Saturday afternoon to experience wood fired pizzas and great community fun!
HIT THE TRAILS
Countless miles of beautiful hiking trails and many waterfalls await your exploration! Drive out to Sliding Rock or hike on the parkway and enjoy dinner at the Pisgah Inn Restaurant on your way home! EXPLORE ASHEVILLE
Bring or rent tubes and float the Pigeon! Putting in at the bridge by Jukebox Junction provides a short float down the river directly to Riverhouse RV resort and campground. Or put in here, and float down to Bearwater Brewery, where you can enjoy a beer and shuttle back to camp. Within an hour drive in Hartford TN is fun for the whole family rafting the Pigeon! WNC WINE TRAIL
There are quite a few wineries within driving distance! You can find a comprehensive wine map of the area here. Definitely a do not miss on my list is plēb urban winery!
Take some time to enjoy this vibrant, lively city just a 30 minute drive away! Downtown houses lots of great shopping, many excellent restaurants, and of course BREWERIES! Stop by Wicked Weed Brewery for the best flight in town and catch a brewery tour or learn a little about the city and laugh a lot on a LaZoom Comedy tour!
You'll find it's all "Good Vibes Only" in our River Arts District. Have a glass of wine at Bottle Riot and walk around to get intimate with the arts in one of the many open galleries.
The historic and impressive Biltmore Estate is well worth a day spent touring the home, exploring the expansive gardens, and tasting wine! Around the holidays, the candlelight tours are magic!
